The core objective of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative is to advocate for the attainment of service standards of a Baby-Friendly Hospital in all health facilities with maternity services. Hong Kong hospitals that wish to become Baby-Friendly can refer to “Baby-Friendly Hospital Designation in Hong Kong“.
In Hong Kong, maternity units in hospitals and Maternal and Child Health Centres (MCHCs) provide the continuum of care that supports mothers to feed their babies optimally. As an extension of BFHI, we are including Maternal and Child Health Centres in our designation programme. Please refer to “Baby-Friendly Maternal and Child Health Centres” in Hong Kong” for information.
For enquiries, please email email@example.com or call us at 2591 0782. We are also happy to meet interested parties in person to further explain how to be designated as a Baby-Friendly health facility in Hong Kong.
There are 5 steps to achieve Designation: Registration of Intent, Certificate of Commitment, Award of Level 1 Participation, Award of Level 2 Participation, Award of Baby-Friendly Hospital / Maternal and Child Health Centre
